Alabama Temporarily Reopens Boggy Point

The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) Marine Resources Division announces the temporary reopening of the Boggy Point Boat Ramp in Orange Beach, Alabama, for the fall 2010 Red Snapper Season, effective immediately. The ramp was closed to the public in June 2010, due to the BP oil spill response and recovery activities. The Boggy Point Boat Ramp will remain open for public use until the end of the fall 2010 Red Snapper Season. At that time the ramp will be closed in order to restore the area to its original condition prior to its use during the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
