LAKE GEORGE, Colo.-On Jan. 8, 2011, Eleven Mile State Park will host the Grand Slam Ice Fishing Contest. The Grand Slam is the first leg of the Colorado Classic Ice Fishing Tournament 2011, produced by the 11 Mile Marina and presented by the Denver Sports Column. Contestants can fish for northern pike, trout or Kokanee salmon with cash prizes awarded in each category. This is a team event and each team has two anglers.
