FISH SALVAGE AT BONNY RESERVOIR

BURLINGTON, Colo. – As Colorado prepares to drain Bonny Reservoir to help the state come into compliance with the Republican River Compact between Kansas and Nebraska, the Colorado Division of Wildlife will lift bag and possession limits on all sport fish caught at the southeastern Yuma County reservoir effective May 1.

KIDS FISHING EVENTS IN LOWER ARKANSAS RIVER VALLEY

LAMAR, Colo. - Boys, girls, moms and dads who are interested in fishing are invited to attend free one-day fishing clinics in lower Arkansas River valley in May.

"These events are a great opportunity to learn how to improve your fishing skills and have some fun," said Linda Groat, an outdoor education specialist with the Colorado Division of Wildlife.

Barr Lake State Park Hosts First Annual Spring Fishing Clinic

BRIGHTON, Colo. – Outdoor enthusiasts who would like to learn about fishing opportunities at Barr Lake State Park are invited to the park’s First Annual Spring Fishing Clinic on Saturday, April 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This is an opportunity to discover the joys of fishing in Colorado, and more specifically, fishing at Barr Lake State Park. Bring the kids for face painting, crafts and a free boat safety t-shirt. The state park’s mascot, Talon, a red-tail hawk, will be on hand for pictures and fun!
