Anyone know of a good portable fish finder?
It's for our jon boats. we will be switching boats from time to time so I need a portable. I want to keep it under 200 bucks. I would also like to know how to use the ones with the suction cup, does the transducer have to be in the water?, where do you stick the suction cup? Thanks!
I really like this model from humminbird it's cheap and works great. the transducer will have to be under water for this unit or any other to work (unless you get a thru hull mount but they are not portable. you just stick the suction cup under the water on the transom (back)of your jon boat on the right or left side. I don't think eagle has a model in this price range I own the non-portable model and it does the trick for depth and locating fish and bottom composition. This is perfect for a first timer as they are very simple to use and install goodluck
